Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.”
I think that’s a fantastic prospect – don’t you? The ability to turn the invisible into the visible! It sounds like something a magician would do – like taking a rabbit out of a hat. It’s something we would all love to do, in one form or another. Setting goals is the first step in that process.
What would you like to make visible in your life right now, that’s pretty invisible to you? Money? A nice home? A car or a motorbike, or maybe a caravan or motorhome? Maybe it’s a partner? Maybe it’s just a friend? What do you want – or even need – in your life right now, that seems invisible to you? How would it feel if you could make it visible? What would it mean to you if you could turn the invisible into the visible?
Well, maybe you can!
The trouble is, for most of us, that the invisible – those dreams, desires, ambitions and aspirations – seem so far away that they seem impossible to reach. Maybe you’ve been trying for years, or maybe it’s only a short while, but you have come against obstacles and challenges and barriers. And because of those, those invisible desires have faded away and are almost forgotten.
But, you know, they’re still there! They may be back in the deepest recesses of your troubled mind – but they’re still there. Deep down – deep, deep down – you still hanker after those invisible and seemingly impossible dreams. Maybe today’s the day to go digging – digging deep into your soul – and stretch out and just touch those ambitions and aspirations once more. Because deep down you realise that it’s so obvious that you are completely off track when it comes to it and something needs to change.
It’s time to take that first step again – there may be a million miles ahead of you – but it starts with the first step. And that first step is to start setting goals again. So go ahead – make that first step. Start setting some goals. What is it that you want? What do you want to do? Who do you want to be? What would you like to have? Start setting some goals that will mean that you are heading in the right direction.
