Have a look around – a real look around – at the community around you. A lot of the time, we don’t really look, do we? Most of the time we’re too busy in our own world to take a look around. We’re too busy either working, playing, or travelling in between. We walk past countless numbers of people every day; we even say, ‘hello’ to some of them. But most of the time we don’t really take time to talk or notice anything about our community.
Working in the charity sector; with a focus on poverty, hunger and homelessness; you start to take a bit more notice about what’s going on around you. Out there – in your own community – there are countless numbers of people who are struggling and suffering. Poverty, hunger and homelessness is on the increase – you notice it more in the larger city centres – but it’s on your own doorstep too.
Be a HopeGiver
It’s easy to turn a blind eye – it’s easier to turn a blind eye – and do nothing. That was me, many years ago; it might be you too. Even now, it’s not always easy to know what to do, and that’s why we decided to set up HopeGiver – making it easy to give! You can make a real difference in people’s lives – and in the community you live – by giving ‘A Little Bit of Hope!’ to those in need. Just be a HopeGiver!
You can devote yourself to your community around you by giving just less than £1 a week! Why not give a gift this Christmas that will last all year? And if not now – when?
Being a HopeGiver means that you can help us build community and bring HOPE to a those countless numbers of people in your community that need help. Thank You.
